It reminds me so much of my first trimester, minus the nausea and vomiting (so sorry you had to deal with that)!

CONGRATS on the 2nd trimester - woot woot!! This is the best part of pregnancy! I still feel fatigued, but not as bad. Most of my other symptoms are gone, except peeing a lot. It's much more enjoyable - especially because it's a less worrisome time! I too felt a great relief after my NT scan. :-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-914382632005868190.post-72112892882193471602013-04-26T12:40:54.742-07:002013-04-26T12:40:54.742-07:00Went fast, huh?

All pregnancy is, to me, is baby growth spurts which cause cyclical symptoms which must be identified and managed. So it sounds like you're managing them! Yay!
HiLLjOhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18339271743324886097noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-914382632005868190.post-7211459522047027342013-04-26T08:25:53.704-07:002013-04-26T08:25:53.704-07:00Well...you're probably not going to like my an...Well...you're probably not going to like my answer... I really didn't have any symptoms before finding out. I got my positive test at 11dpo and didn't have any symptoms prior to that. Maybe a few days after finding out I started to get tired and was really thirsty. The thirsty thing was odd...and them went away after about a week. But again all of this was around when I was expecting my period or a little after. Of course, I was in Mexico during the whole TWW, so I was much more relaxed and not paying as much attention as I might have normally. You describe it so well. What were your very very first symptoms, before knowing that you were pregnant? I am not sure if you wrote about it, probably extreme tiredness am I right? And some cramping?Amandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02424374017675047414noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-914382632005868190.post-47173074582221416992013-04-25T17:10:42.630-07:002013-04-25T17:10:42.630-07:00Oh, so glad it was reassuring. I was hoping it would be helpful to people who are a bit behind me in their pregnancies or comforting for people to read how similar it was for them. And YES...what is that with the aversion to sweets? It's so bizarre. I couldn't even stand fruit juices or fruits that were too sweet. Luckily, I think I'm going back to normal. Hot fudge sundae and milkshake aside, I also ate some Ben & Jerry's today. Thinks are looking up.

p.s. I hope the nausea doesn't get as bad as it was for me :( Mine didn't really hit in full force until 6.5 weeks. Until then, I could keep it at bay with Saltines.JustMehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02493032821722724778noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-914382632005868190.post-13666779990583728962013-04-25T17:08:15.756-07:002013-04-25T17:08:15.756-07:00Oh wow we ARE close! Great to know we're going through this together :)

I am totally jealous of you for dodging the majority of these symptoms AND getting a boost in your sex drive! Not fair. Pass some of that my way, will you?

Hopefully your sex drive will return and mine will come out of deep, dark hiding.JustMehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02493032821722724778noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-914382632005868190.post-4610397356058535042013-04-25T17:05:50.806-07:002013-04-25T17:05:50.806-07:00Oh thank you thank you for understanding. And I completely understand about the fear that it won't go away. I keep hearing stories about it lasting six months..seven months...the whole time. And I just want to cry. I'm hoping my few days of reprieve are a very good sign.

And yes, I cannot wait to leave the kid's menu and start eating REAL food!JustMehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02493032821722724778noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-914382632005868190.post-82516047801275985512013-04-25T16:37:00.844-07:002013-04-25T16:37:00.844-07:00I'm hitting week six tomorrow and so far it...I'm hitting week six tomorrow and so far it's just peeing all the time, sore boobs, waves of nausea (no vomiting...yet...), craving carbs and a total aversion to - no, repulsion - chocolate and sweets. It's truly bizarre given that sweets were very recently a staple of my otherwise healthy vegetarian diet. Congrats on (hopefully) being through the worst of it (maybe last night was just a blip?). Thanks for sharing this - it's (oddly) reassuring!Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17685641936657833904noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-914382632005868190.post-41166109710640885222013-04-25T16:31:38.935-07:002013-04-25T16:31:38.935-07:00Hold on a sec, are we really that close in due dat...Hold on a sec, are we really that close in due dates? I'm expecting the babe on Oct. 23, when are you? Also, while I didn't have many of these symptoms, I most definitely had those early-stage cramping episodes and it was pretty terrifying when they would wake me up at night -- I was fully convinced I was having a miscarriage. The weird thing was, despite the cramps and the fear, my sex drive was through the roof! And now it's totally gone again, and I'm really mourning the loss... hahaha. It is really hard to explain. the constant sick feeling has gone away and now it just comes and goes so I finally feel hopeful that it will end (soon?). for awhile I was afraid I would feel that way the full 9 months. I miss the food I used to eat and am slowly trying to branch out from the kid's menu I have been living on. I had my first piece of chocolate yesterday and was so excited I was able to stomach it. god, I have missed chocolate. I think my husband finally believed my nausea was serious when I kept turning down chocolate. fingers crossed we both get to start enjoying the 2nd trimester soon :)JenShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00056681492831041470noreply@blogger.com
